\n<\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption>Noah\u2019s Ark<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\nGod, contrary to what you might have heard, is <a href=\"https:\/\/raynoah.com\/2017\/06\/25\/behold-the-kindness-and-severity-of-god\/\">kind<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\nIt has always been God\u2019s desire to give people a means of escape, if they would simply take advantage of it.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\u201cThe\u00a0Lord\u00a0saw that the wickedness of man (like all that we have been horrified to see played out in the news in 2020) was\u00a0great in the earth, and\u00a0that\u00a0every\u00a0intent of the thoughts of his heart\u00a0(like<\/em> tyranny, resistance to civil and public health authorities<\/em>, selfishness<\/em>, disobedience, lying, deceiving, conspiring,<\/em><\/em> greed, racism<\/em><\/em>, murder, scheming, rioting, looting, and anarchy<\/em>) was\u00a0only evil\u00a0continually.\u00a0 And\u00a0the\u00a0Lord\u00a0was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and\u00a0He was grieved in His\u00a0heart<\/span>.\u201d<\/p><cite>Genesis 6:5-6<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\nOne site, called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehopeproject.com\/en\/study-guide\/4-prelude-to-the-promise\/and-god-was-willing-to-be-grieved#1\">The Hope Project<\/a>, says: \u201cThe phrase, \u2018And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth<\/em>,\u2019 could be understood in a number of ways\u2026So what is this verse saying to us?\u00a0\u2026To say that God was sorry and that He grieved in His heart shows us that God has emotions\u2026 In the original text the phrase, \u2018He was grieved in His heart<\/em>,\u2019 literally reads, \u2018He was grieved <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/lang\/lexicon\/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H413&t=NKJV\">to<\/a><\/span> His heart<\/em>.\u2019\u00a0 In other words, God looked on the evil in the world and was grieved \u2018all the way to His heart.\u2019\u00a0 One version of the Bible (the NIV) translates this verse, \u2018His heart was\u00a0filled\u00a0with pain<\/em><\/span><\/strong>.\u2019 \u2026If God is infinite, then how far is it to the depth of His heart? How big is His heart? How much grief would it take to fill God\u2019s heart? \u2026God knew He was going to hurt this deeply as a result of creating man, and He did it anyway. And not only that, He did it exactly the way He intended to do it. But why would God do such a thing<\/strong><\/span>?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe Bible tells us that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\u201cGod is love\u2026\u201d<\/p><cite>1 John 4:8<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\nA.W. Tozer writes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\u201cThe love of God is one of the great realities of the universe, a pillar upon which the hope of the world rests. But it is a personal, intimate thing, too. God does not love populations, He loves people. He loves not masses, but men. He loves us all with a mighty love that has no beginning and can have no end.\u201d<\/p><cite>A.W. Tozer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ntcg-aylesbury.org.uk\/books\/knowledge_of_the_holy.pdf\">Knowledge of the Holy<\/a><\/span><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/biblia.com\/bible\/esv\/genesis\/6\/15\">The Bible tells us the following<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Noah was told to build the ark three hundred cubits (450 feet) long, fifty cubits (75 feet) wide, and thirty cubits (45 feet) high.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">cubit = \"about 18 inches\" (Bing<\/em>)<\/pre>\n\n\n\nIn his book, <a href=\"https:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=z_TPboYQ_h4C&pg=PA113&lpg=PA113&dq=450+feet+x+75+feet+x+45+feet&source=bl&ots=PjfYSTKH-N&sig=ACfU3U0KcP__SLWHq0cQDEef9tydGdfY4w&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi9yva3tpnqAhU6oHIEHR8ZBmkQ6AEwC3oECAwQAQ#v=onepage&q&f=false\">God\u2019s Plan:\u00a0What Every Christian Should Know<\/a><\/span>, Dan Malczewski writes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\u201cThis is a gigantic boat! Only some of the modern luxury liners have dimensions greater than this.\u201d<\/p><cite>Dan Malczewski, God\u2019s Plan:\u00a0What Every Christian Should Know<\/span> <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\nThe Bible also refers to Noah as a:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\u201cpreacher of righteousness\u2026\u201d<\/p><cite>2 Peter 2:5<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\nTo whom did he preach<\/em>? His friends, his neighbors, the families of his daughters-in-law. How did it go? Did many people listen to Noah?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\nThe Bible doesn\u2019t say.<\/p>\n\n\n\nHowever, we have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueletterbible.org\/nkjv\/gen\/19\/1\/s_19001\">an account of a similar event<\/a>, when Lot warned his in-laws to leave the city of Sodom with him:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\u201cSo Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, \u2018Get up, get out of this place; for the LORD\u00a0will destroy this city!\u2019 But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking.\u201d<\/p><cite>Genesis 19:14<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\nAnd we know that only Noah, his wife, his sons, and their wives were saved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\u201cA few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.\u201d<\/p><cite>1 Peter 3:20<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\nOne website, \u201cAnswers in Genesis,\u201d says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\u201cWhen the door to the Ark was shut, there was room for many more people.\u201d<\/p><cite>Paul F. Taylor, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/answersingenesis.org\/bible-characters\/noah\/the-evangelist\/\">Noah the Evangelist<\/a>,\u201d March 29, 2007<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\nSo why didn\u2019t more people get on the ark<\/em>?<\/p>\n\n\n\nI recently saw <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Noahs-Ark-David-Threlfall\/dp\/B07GJ2CCPF\">an interesting movie version of the story of Noah\u2019s ark<\/a> that was made in 2014. What I found unique in this film was that Noah\u2019s own sons originally thought Noah was being foolish by building the ark..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+corinthians+1&version=NKJV\">The Bible says<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\u201cGod has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;\u00a0and the\u00a0base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are.\u201d<\/p><cite>1 Corinthians 1:27-28<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\nToday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=n_kiCDI97-M&t=1836s\">people<\/a> are claiming that Jesus may be coming back soon, to \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=n_kiCDI97-M&t=1836s\">Rapture<\/a>\u201d the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/thinkingaccuratelyeducation.comwp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/rapture.jpg?resize=302%2C425&ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12971\" width=\"302\" height=\"425\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00004YS9G\/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1TMNQY7NMB1WH&psc=1\">The Rapture<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nWhat does the Bible say<\/em>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\u201cFor\u00a0the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with\u00a0the trumpet of God.\u00a0And the dead in Christ will rise first.\u00a0Then we who are alive\u00a0and<\/em>\u00a0remain shall be together with them\u00a0in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air<\/p><cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.drbo.org\/cgi-bin\/s?q=1+Thessalonians+4%3A16-17&b=drb\">1 Thessalonians 4:16-17<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\u201cLet no one deceive you by any means; for\u00a0(the Day of the Lord) <\/em>will not come\u00a0unless the falling away comes first, and\u00a0the man of\u00a0sin is revealed,\u00a0the son of perdition,\u00a0who opposes and\u00a0exalts himself\u00a0above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits\u00a0as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
